AV Installer

Job Responsibilities- Expert installation, configuration, and setup of various AV equipment such as projectors, screens, speakers, and video conferencing systems.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal equipment placement.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure installations meet technical and aesthetic standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with AV systems.
- Train clients on system use and maintenance.
- Manage inventory of AV components and stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies.
- Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance and wear company uniform during project duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in AV technology is preferred.
- Proven experience as an AV installer or similar role, with a solid understanding of AV system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, testing equipment, and cable installation (both copper and fiber).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work in different environments and adapt to schedule changes.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- AV, IT & Physical Security technical knowledge, including installation, programming, and servicing.
- Familiarity with electrical and networking infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently with little oversight.
- Willingness to undergo required training and climb stairs or access construction sites.
- Must have finger & wrist dexterity, hand/eye coordination, and ability to work from heights using proper fall protection.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Working environment may involve indoor/outdoor conditions, noise, dust, chemicals, and mechanical hazards.
