Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Office Furniture Installer to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. As an Office Furniture Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery and installation of office furniture solutions to our diverse clientele.
Job Responsibilities- Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance.
- Wear the company uniform during all project‑related duties unless specifically directed otherwise by a supervisor.
- Assist with warehousing inventory, shipping and receiving.
- Safely transport and handle office furniture, including desks, chairs, cubicles, and filing cabinets.
- Assemble and install furniture according to manufacturer specifications and client requirements.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment used for installations.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate installation schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring their complete satisfaction.
- Uphold safety standards and guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in office furniture installation is preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of how to install monitors for plug‑and‑play use (HDMI, USB‑C).
- Tech‑savvy (e.g., clock‑in apps, Slack, Google Suite, forms, Zoom & Google Hangouts); ability to upload photos from your phone into a form or checklist.
- Must have the ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 75 lbs.
- Be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk, stand, and bend regularly.
- Use climbing equipment such as man lifts, scissor lifts, rooftops with proper fall protection.
- Use small hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as required.
- Maintain finger and wrist dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
- Be prepared to respond to additional duties requested by supervisor.
Perform work in both indoor and outdoor environments under various conditions. May involve periodic travel away from the office based on project scope and client needs. Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, solvents, mechanical and electrical hazards. Regular hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; may require support outside regular business hours.
