William Smith Fireplaces of SC LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Manager (Fireplaces) to oversee the installation of fireplaces from rough-in to cap-out. This role requires strong coordination between sales representatives, installation crews, and on-site customer project managers to ensure smooth installations and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with Sales Representatives to understand job requirements

Conduct initial site inspections in collaboration with on-site customer project managers

Review installation manuals and codes for gas and wood-burning fireplaces

Identify and correct errors or omissions in estimates

• Job Site Readiness & Scheduling
  • Ensure job site meets all pre-installation requirements
  • Confirm clearances and coordinate installation schedules with customers, general contractors, or builders
  • Schedule installation crews and ensure proper understanding of tasks
  • Organize and stage installation materials for crew pick-up
  • Conduct routine job site visits for long-term projects

Review installation documentation, notes, and photos from install crews

Conduct post-installation inspections as needed

Identify follow-up actions and ensure completion

Schedule any necessary additional work

Qualifications:

3+ years of sales experience in a commercial construction-related role

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Prior construction experience required

Ability to read and comprehend installation and end-user manuals

National Fireplace Institute (NFI) certification is a plus

Technical & Supervisory

Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft applications and iPad use

Willingness to learn internal operations system

Experience supervising and managing installation crews, including subcontractors

Ability to communicate effectively with both English & Spanish-speaking subcontractors

Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
