Overview
The company is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to join their team. The role includes responsibilities in both lending and retail operations within pawn store locations nationwide.
The pay range is $12.00 to $16.00 per hour. There is a commission structure that pays for transactions, with potential for earnings up to 8% on transactions, which could add approximately $6.44 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Partners greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution.
Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay depends on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and works as part of a team.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Adheres to safety, security, and compliance requirements in all activities.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.) in accordance with law.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Employees may assist customers in exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
