We are currently recruiting for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide services at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the nurse manager, the LPN works closely with others as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas and Primary Care settings throughout Charleston, VA, and surrounding Community-Based Outpatient Clinics.
• The LPN functions both dependently and independently with guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee.
• The LPN may be utilized as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas, ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and the outpatient laboratory.
• The LPN may work as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas, ambulatory/outpatient care clinics, and the outpatient laboratory.
• The LPN must demonstrate the ability to serve as a responsible member of the nursing team and interact with patients, family members, professionals, and supportive personnel involved in the delivery of patient care, incorporating acceptable, established customer service standards into practice.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a state-approved school of practical/vocational nursing
• At least twenty-four (24) months of current experience and must have worked within the last 6 months in a primary care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must pass a WJM and Veterans Administration Medical Center background check.
