Job TitlePRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health
Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement collaborative care plans.
Responsibilities- Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit.
- Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments.
- Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques.
- Fully participates as a contributing member of multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Develops individualized care plans for patients.
- Actively participates in the orientation of new unit staff.
- Demonstrates an understanding as well as an ability to work within the specific milieu of the population under their care.
- Demonstrates sound leadership skills and utilizes these skills in organizing the activities and schedules for medical and/or non‑medical tasks of the unit for a given shift.
- Demonstrates skills in facilitating and/or co‑facilitating process oriented and didactic groups.
- Demonstrates skills in limit and boundary setting.
Day: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
Night: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
Qualifications EducationGraduate of an accredited college of nursing.
ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred, but not required. New graduates accepted.
Age‑Specific CompetenciesChild, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric
Licensure / CertificationCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina. New Graduates Accepted.
CPR/CPI Certification Required – provided upon hire.
