Technology Support Specialist - Assembler

First Point is urgently recruiting for Hardware Support Engineer to support the assembly, installation, and maintenance of critical hardware systems in a production environment. This role blends hands-on mechanical and electrical work with the ability to interpret technical documentation and follow structured processes. Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working with hardware in a manufacturing or lab setting.

• Assemble and support IT hardware systems, cabinets, and enclosures in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
• Perform mechanical assembly, including mounting components, panels, frames, racks, and hardware
• Complete basic electrical wiring, including routing, termination, labeling, and cable management
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and assembly prints
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete hardware builds and repairs
• Verify completed assemblies meet quality, safety, and specification requirements
• Troubleshoot and report hardware issues, missing components, or build discrepancies
• Follow all safety procedures, ESD standards, and production guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area

• 1–3+ years of experience in hardware assembly, IT hardware support, electrical assembly, or a related role
• Hands-on experience assembling electrical cabinets, control panels, racks, or switch gear
• Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with basic electrical wiring practices and safe tool usage
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
