The Janitorial Manager will oversee the daily operations, budgeting, safety, compliance, personnel, and staffing needs of the janitorial staff. This position is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the locations assigned. Will utilize effective methods and strategies to carry out responsibilities.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:- Effectively manage Managers/Supervisors in assigned locations.
- Financial
- Review expenses and payroll data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets. Plans effective individual contracts and strategies to maximize the financial well-being of the company. - Best Practices
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures. - Production
- Coordinate and monitor the work of multiple locations. Ensure quality of services provided. Collaboratively work with Managers and staff to ensure costs are maintained in all areas and that profitability is being achieved. Ensure contract requirements are being fulfilled. - Communication
- Work effectively with the team and improve communications to better achieve customer and company goals. Coach incumbent operations management team and ensure proper coordination exists and bottlenecks are removed. Work effectively with another department in the organization. - Sales and Customer Service
- Plan and support all DLP sales and marketing activities/efforts. - Strategic Input
- Effectively interact with upper management of the organization. Assist in the strategic plans for operational activity as needed. Implement and manage all contracts assigned and operational needs.
- Shall possess at least 3 years of recent (within the past 10 years) responsible experience in the management and supervision of commercial and institutional janitorial services of the approximate size and characteristics of the FLETC Complex.
- Specific experience in setting up and managing a variety of services including laundry, and housekeeping services is mandatory.
- Shall have proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
