Tech is seeking a Net Ops Automation Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Support operational requirements of computer network systems including servers, networking devices, and associated hardware and software.
- Automate the installation/configuration of hardware, software, system upgrades, network accounts, network security, and updates.
- Develop and maintain local system design and implementation documentation.
- Perform troubleshooting using log files, event history, and version control.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Active Top Secret Level Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (ABET‑accredited program). Associates degrees from an ABET‑accredited program are acceptable.
- Certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and DoD 8140 manual (e.g., CompTIA A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CISSP, GSEC).
- Five (5) years of professional experience in Net Ops Automation Engineering, supporting operational requirements of computer network systems.
- Experience with automation technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and other declarative configuration tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Power Shell, Python, Bash, and other widely adopted languages.
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addresses, DNS, and how network issues affect devices).
- Available to travel up to 20 days per year, including several week‑long trips.
- On‑site in North Charleston, SC (building 198).
