Overview
HTI has an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist with an international manufacturing company located in Summerville, SC
. This is a full-time, onsite, direct hire position. Salary is dependent upon experience/education, and the range is up to $75,000 / year

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
, Organizational Development, or Business - Must have 2+ years of recent experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or HR Generalist
- Manufacturing industry experience (with ~300+ employees) is strongly preferred
- Must have intermediate skills and experience with MS Office and HRIS software (
including HRIS reporting and data management
);
Paycor experience is preferred - Must be local to the Summerville/North Charleston, SC area
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department by assisting with HRIS maintenance and reporting, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits coordination, and compliance. The HR Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive employee experience while ensuring accurate HR documentation and data integrity.
Job DutiesThe HR Generalist will own or support one or more of the following functional areas based on business needs and their previous experience:
HRIS & Data Management
- Enter and maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS system.
- Generate routine reports and assist with HR metrics tracking.
- Audit HR files and digital records for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate job postings, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including new hire orientation and system setup.
- Maintain recruiting documentation and ensure consistent process execution.
Employee Relations & Support
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions and concerns.
- Assist with investigations and resolution of employee issues under the guidance of HR leadership.
- Support compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration
- Assist with benefit enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation for I-9, EEO, and personnel records.
- Maintain knowledge of employment laws and assist with compliance initiatives.
- Support preparation for audits and reporting.
Training & Development Coordination
- Assist in scheduling and tracking of training sessions.
- Maintain training records and assist in employee development initiatives.
- Support execution of performance review cycles.
