Summary
The Director of Hospital Services oversees and develops programs related to hospital services and marketing plans in line with our strategic plan. This role is responsible for the administration of Hospital Services.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set clear goals and objectives for hospital services staff aligned with our strategic plan, AOPO standards, and CMS guidelines.
• Establish methods for documenting and achieving objectives and goals.
• Provide professional services and education to healthcare staff, including hospital staff, physicians, physician assistants, CRNPs, coroners, medical examiners, forensic pathologists, and solicitors.
• Build and maintain relationships with hospital personnel at all levels.
• Ensure hospitals make timely referrals.
• Serve as a resource for hospital policies and procedures related to donation.
• Evaluate hospital operations through death records and compliance reviews.
• Identify developmental needs of staff and processes.
• Maintain continuous communication with staff and hospitals to resolve issues.
• Conduct and report on hospital medical record reviews.
• Track referral processes and identify barriers to donation.
• Observe donation recovery processes regularly to stay informed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of critical care experience.
• At least five (5) years of management experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and educate families about organ and tissue donation.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact diplomatically with healthcare professionals, donor families, and the public.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and reliability.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
