Position Summary

The Lead Mental Health Technician works under direct supervision to provide clerical and patient care activities in the treatment and care of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. As Lead MHT you will:

• Support new hires in their introductory period
• Manage behavioral problems
• Facilitate education and activity groups
• Actively participate as a member of the treatment team
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Education:
  
  High school diploma, Certificate, or Associates Degree
• Experience:
  
  Two years’ experience in a related capacity (one year of which has been at Palmetto Low country Behavioral Health or a sister facility offering the same services) or exemplary performance in current role
• Age-Specific
  
  Competencies:
  
  Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric (depending on unit)
• Licensure/Certification: CPR required; CPI certification
