Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Structures Design Engineer (Entry or Associate Level) to join our 787 Airframe Structures team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Structures Design Engineer
.

• Assists with documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

• Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3‑D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

• Assists with tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

• Assists with management of supplier development, test and production activities to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Works under close supervision.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

• 2+ years of experience with aircraft structural design

• 2+ years of experience using CAD Tools

• 1+ years of experience with design of composite material systems

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams

• Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range Entry Level (Level
1): $71,400 – $96,600

Summary Pay Range Associate Level (Level
2): $85,000 - $115,000
