Network Engineer
The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable Command and Control agencies to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of technical skills and careful planning. That's why we need an experienced network engineer like you who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, and virtual routing and forwarding to support the nation's defense and resp ond to evolving adversaries. You'll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You'll apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, and virtual routing and forwarding as you join our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.

Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in crytographic equipment, cryptography, key management, sof tware and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Juniper firewalls, cloud migration, optical infrastructure networking, and virtual routing and forwarding, you'll serve as a t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects.

Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:
  • 1+ years of experience in network engineering, including in a professional or academic environment
  • Experience with Internet Protocol ( IP ) networking, including routing and switching
  • Experience with firewall vendors, including Juniper
  • Experience with network administration and enterprise networks
  • Experience with IT network design and deployment
  • Experience in an operational environment
  • Experience with Juniper routers or Cisco routers
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with DoD networks
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred ;
    Master's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field a plus
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert ( CCIE ) Certification
  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Spe cia list ( JNCIS ) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet ( JNCIE ) Certification
  • Palo Alto ACE Certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Asso cia te ( CCNA ) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Asso cia te ( JN CIA ) Certification
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information .
