Responsibilities- Entry Level Engineers build professional knowledge by developing technical deliverables, attending meetings, and visiting project sites under the supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Develop skills to prepare utility plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of engineering through projects and challenges.
- Develop exposure to best practice methods with calculations and other necessary skills.
- Build knowledge of the rules and regulations that apply to a variety of project types.
- Work with CAD, GIS, Office tools and specialty software.
- Visit work sites during design and construction phases to observe projects come to life.
- Learn about materials, means, and methods contractors use to build infrastructure we design.
- Enhance time management, organization, communication, and team-building skills.
- Develop writing and research skills through reports, permit applications, etc.
- Learn how to identify tasks needed to complete an assignment and how we collaborate with clients to improve communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Engineer-in-Training certification (or the ability to achieve in 6 months).
- Responsible, able to take directions, and capable of completing tasks or projects.
- Experience with MS Office, Google Docs, and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Motivated to learn, challenge yourself, and work with a team to achieve a common goal.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to thrive on a team.
- Ability to embody our brand by treating clients and employees with courtesy and respect.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel to project sites for data collection and construction review. Fieldwork may involve exposure to weather, traffic, loud noise, and extensive walking over uneven surfaces and terrains.
