Base pay range
$95.00/hr - $96.00/hr
Location: North Charleston, SC (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $96/hr on W2
Shift:1st Shift
Job SummarySeeking an experienced Structural & Payload Design Engineer to support payload systems design within airplane interiors. The role involves end-to-end product lifecycle support, including design, integration, validation, production support, and certification of interior payload systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and integrate interior payload systems such as stow bins, closets, partitions, headers, and wiring
- Develop and document structural and payload system requirements
- Perform and support testing to validate system and component requirements
- Support suppliers, production activities, and complex build issues
- Create and modify designs using 3D CAD tools
- Support certification and compliance with FAA/EASA regulations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 9+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, Inventor, Solid Works, etc.)
- Experience working with cross‑functional engineering and production teams
- Aerospace interiors or payload systems experience
- Knowledge of FAA Title 14 Part 25 or EASA regulations
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
