Microsoft Systems Engineer – Hybrid (North Charleston, SC)

Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days onsite in North Charleston, SC

We’re looking for a Microsoft Systems Engineer passionate about automation, system design, and delivering innovative solutions. This role focuses on engineering and integrating advanced software systems for mission‑critical defense operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Automate system administration tasks and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Develop scripts to detect and resolve anomalies in datacenter environments
  • Create automated test cases and generate reports
  • Design and optimize system architectures for efficiency and sustainability
  • Support and maintain Microsoft enterprise products (Exchange, SQL, SharePoint)
  • Prepare technical briefs and collaborate with engineering review teams
What You Bring
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with automation focus
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and enterprise products
  • Strong Power Shell scripting skills
  • Knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Hyper‑V, AWS) and Agile methodologies
Bonus Points For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Git, Git Lab, Ansible, and scripting languages (Bash/Python)
  • Certifications:

    Microsoft, Red Hat, CISSP, ITIL, Scrum/Agile
