Overview

Electrical Assembly – Aerospace wire bundle installations fabrication. This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
  • Variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd) functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.
  • Assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance.
  • Identify roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication.
  • Support teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring.
Technical/Software Skills
  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
  • Perform functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components as well as aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
  • 7+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
  • 7+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
  • 7+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • 1+ year of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd).
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
Training

8-10 Weeks of Training. Variable shifts – contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
