Diesel Truck Technician

Performs mechanical repair, service and PM work on all equipment maintained by the company.

Assist in maintaining company service and shop equipment.

• Service and repair equipment that is scheduled for assigned service lane.
• Be flexible for reassignment to other projects throughout the shift, including road breakdown calls.
• Trailer repairs including but not limited to wheel end and bearingýa repairs, foundation brakes (drum and disc), understand and repair ABS failures and complex lighting systems.
• Operate a computer terminal to inquire and generate unit maintenance forms.
• Act professionally and respectfully toward drivers and the motoring public through all actions and behaviors.
• Help maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Prefer experience with DOT inspections according to FMCSA regulations.
• Component rebuild of heavy duty dry or reefer trailer.
• Trade seminars and equipment/component service seminars a plus.
• Must be able to make decisions and establish work priorities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A high level of accuracy is required.
• Bending, pushing, lifting min. 50 lbs., twisting, squatting, and stooping as needed.
