Concrete Mixer Truck Driver; CDL

Overview

Primary Function
With minimal direct supervision, will operate a concrete mixer truck on public streets and highways as well as construction sites to transport and deliver concrete material. Suitable candidates are required to have valid CDL Class A or B North Carolina Driver's license and good driving record.

• Climb on, over and around a company vehicle in order to perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as well as to secure loads.
• Climb up and down concrete mixer trucks using ladder, performing repetitive motions to inspect concrete mix consistencies and perform quality control checks.
• Lift hoods, product or equipment and tools necessary to perform inspection, repair, loading and unloading of trucks.
• Support and assist shop personnel with any required repairs.
• Wash trucks, clean truck cabs, and operate truck washing facilities.
• Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful and courteous manner at all times.
• Keep vehicle, cab interior and exterior clean and mixer drums free from concrete buildup, stones, debris and loose objects.
• Read road signs and follow written or verbal directions.
• Maintain contact with appropriate managers by radio or GPS to inform them of delays, problems, or unusual situations.
• Work long, flexible hours as demanded by our customers, including nights, weekends, and extended outdoor work across all seasons.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance when reporting to work and throughout the day.
• Maintain and keep operator logs and other documentation required by regulations or the company.
• All necessary work must be performed while complying with company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required or directed by their immediate supervisor or other manager.

JOB LOCATION: Youngsville, NC

PAY: $18 - $24.50/hr.

• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• A minimum of one to two years of experience driving a commercial vehicle is preferred.
• Current medical examination certificate with card.

• Must have a good work ethic, be dependable, on-time and have regular and predictable attendance.
• Job may require various hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime if needed.
• Dependable transportation.

• Heavy physical demands including climbing, pulling and lifting or moving heavy materials or equipment (over 80 pounds).
• Position requires ability to work around noise, dust, heat, cold, oil, and heavy equipment.
