We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Mechanical Technician & Pilot Car Driver. This dynamic role combines light mechanical work, pilot car driving, and truck maintenance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent driving skills, and a dedication to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.

• Light Mechanical Work:
  Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs under the supervision of a certified mechanic. Assist in the installation of new parts and components as needed.
• Pilot Car Driving:
  Safely operate a pilot car to escort oversized loads, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Maintain constant communication with the truck driver to anticipate and navigate potential obstacles or hazards along the route. Provide support during loading and unloading processes, ensuring the safe transport of oversized cargo.
• Truck Maintenance:
  Conduct regular inspections of trucks and trailers to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns. Perform basic repairs and adjustments to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including scheduled service intervals and repairs completed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on the nature of the role.
• Proven experience in light mechanical work, including basic automotive repairs and maintenance.
• Familiarity with pilot car operations and regulations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
