IT Project Coordinator – SOX Compliance

Job Summary

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for repairing, constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining routine electrical systems and equipment in a heavy industrial/shipyard environment. This role supports control systems, industrial infrastructure, and production equipment while ensuring compliance with OSHA and Newport News safety standards.

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and industrial equipment
• Modify, align, calibrate, design, program, test, and troubleshoot control systems
• Install and maintain production and facility electrical infrastructure
• Cut, thread, bend, couple, and strap conduit as required
• Install cable trays, transformers, switch gear, MCCs, and disconnects
• Inspect circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding
• Test electrical equipment for safety and operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in industrial systems
• Work in confined spaces and elevated environments
• Comply with strict PPE and safety regulations

• Industrial electrical experience in shipyard, marine, or heavy manufacturing environment
• Strong conduit bending and installation experience
• Experience with control systems and production equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions
• Experience inspecting wiring, grounding, and shielding systems

Candidates must be trained and qualified in the following:

• Confined Space (OSHA 29 CFR 1915 Subpart

• Respirator Qualified (29 CFR )
• Must be trained and fit-tested on MSA Comfo Classic Respirator
• Fall Protection / 4-D Body Harness / Vertical & Horizontal Lifelines
• ANSI Z359.1 compliant
• PPE Training (29 CFR 1915 Subpart I)
• Hearing Conservation (29 CFR 1910.95)
• Audiometric Testing Documentation
• Hexavalent Chromium Medical Clearance

• MSA Comfo Classic Half/Full Face Respirator
• OR 3M Speedglas PAPR 9100MP Adflo (H&S approved)
• DBI Sala Exo Fit X100 Harness
• Nano-Lok Edge Twin Leg Self Retracting Lanyards
• MSA Skullgard Hard Hat (White, labeled appropriately)
• Welding shield compatible with Skullgard Hard Hat

• Physically demanding work
