Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a Heavy Equipment Operator located in Mount Gilead, NC. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, and other heavy equipment to perform excavation and earthmoving tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing site preparation, ensuring safe operations of equipment, conducting necessary maintenance checks, and collaborating with the team to complete projects efficiently and safely while adhering to company and industry standards.
Qualifications- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers and other machinery
- Experience in equipment maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
- Expertise in excavation techniques and workflow
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation for various sitework tasks
- Familiarity with used equipment and its handling is an advantage
- Strong attention to safety protocols and standards
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions
- Prior experience in sitework, utilities, or related construction fields preferred
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day
Salary and compensation based upon experience.
