Job Summary
Pipefitter Helper II assists in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems by accurately positioning, aligning, and securing components. Responsibilities include measuring and marking pipe locations, transporting tools and materials, operating hand tools (as certified), and maintaining a clean, organized worksite. Must demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Requires OSHA 10 certification and possession of essential hand tools (e.g., tape measure, crescent wrench, torpedo level).
The role involves frequent physical activity, exposure to outdoor conditions, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Hold, position, and read tape to assist in layout.
- Place and move equipment and materials.
- Position and turn clamps; screw, bolt, and hammer parts together using proper tools and only if certified.
- Transport and furnish the mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
- Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensure proper storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Perform other routine duties.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.
- Inspect tools.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude and good morale on site.
- Hand tools to perform the task.
