Position

As a Security Officer - Checkpoint Driver in Pembroke, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify identification, issue and track badges, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds as needed, and deliver customer-focused service to employees and visitors.

What You ll Do:
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
  • Coordinate with site management and/or transportation staff regarding deliveries and driver check-in, documenting irregularities and completing required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
