As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Iron Station, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine checks of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams while acting with integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy requirements.

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entrances and gates by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing visitors to required check-in areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic, coordinate with site contacts for deliveries and/or pickups, and deter unauthorized entry into manufacturing and industrial areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, noting irregular conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
