As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Hookerton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and respond with calm, clear communication while providing strong customer service.

- Provide customer service to site staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, and perimeter points, to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and control access at designated posts by verifying identification, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing individuals to proper check‑in and/or screening processes.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including requesting additional resources, coordinating with on‑site personnel, and providing clear directions during evolving events.
- Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift turnover notes, and handle and maintain issued equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
- Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
