Salary: $45,196.14 day shift / $50,180.16 night shift – no experience required. (Paid DOCC required training with pay increase upon completion)

Shift: 12 Hour Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Detention Officer to join our team. The Detention Officer will be responsible for maintaining security and order within the detention facility, ensuring the safety of detainees, staff, and the public. The officer will monitor detainees, enforce rules and regulations, and respond to emergencies as required. Seeking individuals with a strong moral and work ethic.

Must be at least 20 years old, no felony convictions or high‑class misdemeanors.

• Supervise and monitor detainees in a secure detention facility.
• Conduct routine security checks to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
• Enforce facility rules, regulations, and policies.
• Respond to emergencies, including medical situations, escapes, and disturbances.
• Maintain accurate records of detainee behavior, incidents, and facility activities.
• Escort detainees to and from court appearances, medical appointments, and other locations as needed.
• Assist in the intake and release of detainees.
• Participate in training and professional development programs.
• Work closely with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other staff members.

• High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or certification).
• Prior law enforcement, corrections, or military experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Must be willing to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
