Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Spruce Pine, NC. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This Part-Time Security Officer role offers a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal management, providing customer service to clients and visitors at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, maintaining awareness of the environment at all times.
• Report and document any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
• Participate in emergency response activities as required by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Maintain a professional presence while interacting with staff, visitors, and other personnel at the location.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
