As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. This is an armed and driving post, requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license.
You will communicate clearly, document activities, and deliver customer-focused service while reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and location-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Carry and maintain assigned authorized weapon and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, state requirements, and location-specific post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, logging visitors, verifying authorization, and directing personnel to appropriate locations.
- Monitor controlled areas and entrances using observation, patrol checks, and available systems such as radios and monitoring equipment, and report irregular conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, contraband-related concerns, alarms, and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
- Communicate clearly with location staff and emergency responders, using radio protocols and established reporting channels.
- Complete detailed written reports and required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and notable events in a timely manner.
- Support movement and/or escort activities as assigned by post orders, including assisting with controlled access routes and maintaining situational awareness during authorized movements.
- Enforce posted rules and location policies in a professional manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting assistance when needed.
- Participate in required training, briefings, and post inspections, and follow chain-of-command direction for daily assignments and special details.
- Observe for maintenance, lighting, and environmental hazards that could affect operations, and report concerns through appropriate channels.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Have 6 months or more of armed security-related experience and/or law enforcement experience and/or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
