Overview

Director of Community Relations & Public Safety at Flowers Plantation (part-time). Flowers Plantation is a premier master-planned community in Johnston County, North Carolina, known for its welcoming neighborhoods, vibrant lifestyle amenities, and strong sense of community. We are seeking to add one part-time Public Safety Team Member to support the safety, well-being, and quality of life of our residents, guests, and staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a retired Law Enforcement Officer or a public safety professional who wants to remain active and make a meaningful impact in a community-focused environment.

As a member of the Flowers Plantation Public Safety Division, you will play a visible and trusted role in maintaining a safe, calm, and professional presence throughout the community. This position emphasizes prevention, communication, and de-escalation, rather than enforcement alone.

• Maintain a visible and trusted presence in the community, focusing on prevention, communication, and de-escalation.
• Support safety, well-being, and quality of life for residents, guests, and staff.

• Prior Law Enforcement experience (required)
• Strong preference for experience in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution
• Excellent judgment, communication skills, and professionalism
• Ability to interact respectfully with residents, visitors, and team members
• Commitment to community-oriented public safety

• Evenings and weekends
• Weekend shifts as needed
