A Meat Clerk at Carlie C’s IGA ensures prompt, friendly customer service is a top priority. Courtesy and cooperation with customers and coworkers maximize sales and build long‑term business.
Our Meat Clerks work in the refrigerated area for eight‑hour periods or longer, preparing product, cleaning, and stocking.
Duties- Sanitize and clean equipment.
- Keep meat department floors clean and free of clutter.
- Assist customers in finding products; attend to them at the counter in a timely and cheerful manner.
- Occasionally wrap meat for customer requests and fill orders for Meat Bundles.
- Perform all other duties as directed by your supervisor, including stocking.
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs without assistance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, neat, and clean in appearance.
- Must enjoy working with the public.
- Must be very customer‑oriented.
- Must be able to lift, bend, and reach within acceptable limits.
- Must read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
