Butcher (Meat Cutter) – Carlie C’s IGA

We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to fill an immediate opening in a Grocery Store Meat Market environment. The role requires proficiency with band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, knives, and wrapping. Candidates must have prior experience cutting all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken, maintain sanitation and safety requirements, and provide prompt, friendly customer service.

• Cutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging and labeling product.
• Unload trucks, store products in proper location; check product dates and rotate inventory.
• Sanitize and clean equipment; keep the meat department floors free of clutter.
• Assist customers in finding products; wait on them at the counter in a timely and cheerful manner.

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs without assistance.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, neat, and clean in appearance.
• Must enjoy working with the public and be very customer oriented.
• Must be able to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
• Must have a good work record as a Meat Cutter.
