Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee - 0476 at Quick Cash. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Pay: $17.50 to $23.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills; cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and business sense.

- Typical store hours: most stores open 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; many stores closed on Sundays.

- Ability to earn unlimited commission above hourly base rate.
- Vacation: 1 week after 6 months; 1 additional week after 1 year; 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after 5 years (adjusted for local requirements).
- Sick/PTO: 8 hours after 6 months; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5); 24 hours after 5 years.
