Merchandiser- Part Time -Outer Banks, NC

Job Overview

A Part‑Time Merchandiser will assist with sales and create brand awareness at Dietz & Watson. The role requires knowledge of our deli products and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Pay Rate: $16.00–$18.00 based on experience. Weekly payroll via Direct Deposit.

• Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product.
• Assemble necessary equipment for case displays.
• Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS).
• Attract customers to deli by demoing product.
• Use inventiveness to create new recipes and/or sandwiches for demoing purposes.
• Complete all required reports, including store surveys.
• Make regular store visits.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by demonstrating high‑level customer service techniques to deli managers and employees.
• Possess the knowledge and ability to create and market Dietz & Watson party trays and sandwiches.
• Communicate any necessary information to the Account Manager (e.g., grand openings, store closing, etc.).
• Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Perform special projects outside of the assigned territory.

• Flexibility and ability to travel/commute to a territory within 20 miles of the hiring location.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills.
• Must exercise independent decision‑making skills regularly.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Must have valid Real  Passport for travel.

• Standing, bending, twisting.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Push/pull carts containing product – occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Walking, reaching, use of both hands and arms.

• Room temperature while in stores.
• Occasional exposure to refrigerated cooler areas.
