Shifts at a McDonald’s restaurant are managed by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is the employer, not McDonald’s USA, and is fully responsible for hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling.
ResponsibilitiesManagers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, friendly service. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to uphold Quality, Service and Cleanliness. Shift Managers plan each shift, monitor performance, ensure team meets McDonald’s standards, manage safety, security and profitability, communicate with the next Shift Manager, and help meet departmental targets.
QualificationsPrevious leadership experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment. Positive team player, flexible schedule, passion for fast‑paced environment. Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager.
