We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by conducting tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of results. The successful candidate will follow established procedures, comply with safety standards, and contribute to efficient laboratory workflows.
Reporting tothe LC/MS group lead, the Research Associate, Vapor Lab will support the Chemistry and Regulatory Testing and regulatory submissions. The Research Associate is a hands-on, laboratory-based role in Durham, NC that will be responsible in helping to test products for regulatory submissions. The Research Associate is highly motivated, nimble at navigating complexchallenges, a skilled multitasker, is adaptable and works effectively in afast-paced environment and works collaboratively with the teams in the laboratory.
- Perform routine collection of aerosol samples from ENDS devices.
- Perform preparation of aerosol samples for analysis.
- Perform preparation of reagents for lab usage.
- Perform routine maintenance on vapor machines.
- Cleaning of laboratory glassware.
- Write and review scientific documents in a timely manner (SOPs, VOPs, andWork Instructions).
- Manage the regulatory documents systematically in a highly organized fashion.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
A successful
Research Associate will be able to successfully complete assigned tasks in atimely manner. They need to be readily adaptable to change while following established standard operating procedures.
Personal and Professional Qualifications
- Experience with vaping machines and collection techniques is preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Strong weighing skills.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise written documents.
- Ability to communicate issues in a succinct and logical manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- High motivation and flexibility.
- ENDS or nicotine-related products experience is preferred.
- Experience in a regulated laboratory environment such as ISO 17025 is preferred but not required.
Associate degree in biology, chemistry or related field with a focus in aerosolsample collection and preparation.
