I’m working on behalf of a well-established, progressive small animal hospital in Weaverville, NC that is looking to welcome a full-time Associate Veterinarian to their close-knit team. This is a modern, community-focused practice known for its supportive culture, excellent work-life balance, and commitment to high-quality, compassionate medicine.
The hospital operates out of a standalone, well-equipped facility offering advanced diagnostics including digital radiography, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and a fully stocked in-house laboratory. In addition to gold-standard GP medicine and surgery, the team also incorporates integrative options such as acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, allowing doctors to practice a broad and interesting scope of care.
You’ll be joining an experienced, collaborative team with an exceptional support structure — including a 5:1 staff-to-doctor ratio — giving you the time and resources to focus on medicine rather than rushing appointments. The practice regularly hosts student externs and fosters a culture of teaching and mentorship, making this a great environment for both confident associates and those earlier in their career who value guidance and professional development.
This is a weekday-only role with no on-call and a schedule designed to respect your personal time. The hospital is partnered with a well-respected veterinary group that provides strong operational support while still allowing doctors to focus on what they do best: practicing great medicine.
