Wage$16 – $18 per hour
About UsCarolina Beach Animal Hospital is a caring, compassionate, and well‑established practice offering high‑quality veterinary care. Our 3‑doctor practice provides a variety of services, including soft tissue surgery, preventive care, exotic pet care, and emergency services during office hours.
Hours- Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday:

- 4‑day workweek with rotating Saturday shifts
- Work‑life balance in a collaborative, supportive team environment
- Assist veterinarians with routine exams and surgeries 🩺
- Provide hands‑on care to animals, including venipuncture and IV catheter placement 🐾
- Prepare animals and equipment for surgeries and dental procedures 🦷
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and ready to go 🔧
- Educate clients and assist with admin duties when needed 📋
- 1–2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting 🏥
- Proficient in venipuncture and IV catheter placement 💉
- Surgery experience preferred, with ability to perform dental prophylaxis
- Compassionate, quick on your feet, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment 🐾
- Assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, surgical assisting, and proactively set up for any procedures or diagnostic tests
- Restrain animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner
- Obtain accurate vitals, medical histories, and note any changes in patient’s condition to DVM
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies
- Care and maintain all medical equipment including laboratory machines, surgical packs, anesthesia machines, and any other tools essential to daily operations
- High quality client communication on patient updates and questions
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts
- Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling
- Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment, and be able to manage stressful situations, and work with others on a team respectfully
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
