HELLO to our future Associate Veterinarian!

We are looking for an additional doctor to keep up with our steady, continued growth in a collaborative, friendly environment that challenges your medical and surgical skills in a low stress setting.

Do you have a particular skill set that you would like to practice almost exclusively like ultrasound or orthopedic surgery? Our area could use specialty skills and we can house your needs.

• A four-day work week, 8 am-6 pm, with two Saturday shifts per month, 8 am-1 pm
• Full time preferred, but open to discuss part time or relief work
• Mentoring for new graduates in a patient and nurturing environment
• No after-hours emergencies

• A licensed DVM in good standing with the state of NC

Brigadoon Animal Hospital has been serving the community for over 35 years. We are a privately owned practice that services dogs and cats. Our hospital features 4 exam rooms and ample treatment space for general and preventive medicine, surgery, and dental procedures.

We do preventative, wellness and sick medical appointments, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. We would be delighted to add to our service offerings if you possess unique skills.

There is a boarding kennel on site staffed by kennel personnel so your assistants and technicians can stay focused on you. We are also the go-to hospital for a lot of our visiting vacationers and are the second DVM for many part‑time residents.

Located minutes to the beautiful beaches of Emerald Isle and a short drive to Topsail Island, the area offers an array of activities to enhance life away from work.

Our staff houses 2 seasoned veterinarians. We have an abundance of assistants/technicians, receptionists, and kennel assistants, all striving to make life at Brigadoon as seamless and stress‑free as possible. We believe in our doctors being supported and free to practice medicine in a safe and friendly environment.

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
• Active Veterinary State License
