Maintenance Associate - Yard and Property (2nd Shift)

Join Wayne Farms as a Maintenance Associate in the Yard and Property team, responsible for the cultivation and care of the grounds surrounding the facility.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Starting pay: $19.95 per hour.

Primarily responsible for the cultivation and care of grounds and yard surrounding the facility, performing all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

• Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained.
• Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning, etc., to keep plants, shrubs, and trees healthy.
• Perform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and/or other minor structural repairs.
• Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility.
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

• Previous experience in landscaping a plus.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self‑motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.

• Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment.
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
