Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide emergency care coverage at a well-supported critical access facility in Nags Head, North Carolina.
Enjoy a flexible locum tenens opportunity with a picturesque oceanfront backdrop in the Outer Banks, where your clinical expertise is valued and your schedule supports true work-life balance. Providers will support evening and overnight shifts with inpatient ED coverage only.
Clinical Environment:
- Average ED Volume: ~100 patients/day (1.8 pts/hr)
- Average Inpatient Census: 20
- ICU/Critical Care Duties: Yes
- Procedures: Full scope of ED procedures
- Code Response: Yes
- Admissions: Managed by Hospitalist team
Coverage Needed
April & May 2026
7AM-7PM | 10AM-10PM | 2PM-12AM | 6PM-6AM
Candidate Requirements
- Licensure: Active NC license & unrestricted DEA
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
- Experience: 2+ years in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care settings
- Clinical Scope: Must be comfortable with critical care and fast-paced ED procedures
- Shifts: Minimum of 2–3 shifts/month preferred
