We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity starts on Dec 16, 2025, and spans an 80-day contract, offering full-time 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules and every other weekend required. The provider will work autonomously in a streamlined team environment, ensuring high-quality care for a diverse patient population.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts (8am-8pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends), full-time 36/40 rotating schedule, every other weekend required, flexibility to float to nearby locations

Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver urgent care services independently, managing a high-volume patient load (40+ patients per shift)
Collaborate with medical assistant and front desk staff to optimize patient flow
Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
Administer appropriate procedures and interventions based on urgent care needs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient encounters
Adhere to all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements

Additional Information
Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
Ability to work autonomously; new graduates will not be considered
DOT certification is a plus
Flexibility to float to nearby locations as needed
