Shift Details:

7:00 pm – 7:30 am (rotating nights)

Work Location:

Crisis – Durham, NC

Salary / Hourly Wage:

$36.00 – $39.00 per hour

Retention Bonus:

$12,000

Summary of Job:

The RN position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served. The RN also serves as clinical liaison for designated individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Guest Care & Advocacy
  • Coordinates services with various public and private community health, mental health, and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals.
  • Assists individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process.
  • Conducts assessments and treatment plans.
  • Provides individual and family counseling.
  • Participates in development of educational curriculum.
  • Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring, such as diabetes and blood pressure.
  • Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed.
  • Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Administers medication as required by protocol.
  • Completes clinical documentation as required.
  • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations, laws, and Recovery Innovations policies.
  • Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care.

Job Requirements:
  • Education / Licenses:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse;
    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid and current state‑specific Nursing license (compact licensure preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, side effects, reactions, and interactions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail; problem‑solving; communication (verbal and written); listening; documentation.
  • Trauma‑Informed Care experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Must be able to pass de‑escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
  • Driving Requirements:
  • If required, meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy; otherwise, sign a Non‑Driver Attestation.
  • Miscellaneous Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old unless otherwise specified.
  • Travel may be required based on business need.
