LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE – SOUTHPORT HEALTH & REHABILITATION CENTER

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services invites you to apply for the Licensed Practical Nurse position in Southport, NC.

• Assists in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegates duties to professional nurses and non‑professional nursing personnel and monitors work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observes patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and mental condition for signs indicative of adverse change.
• Assists with notifying the attending physician of emergencies and the death of patients in the unit; implements changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate.
• Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submission of proof of license renewal every other year.
• Willingness to work as charge nurse and during emergencies to assure adequate coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors’ orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification annually.
• Attendance of in-service training and staff meetings as required.
