Experienced RN:Clinical Educator- 9 Peds (Hematology & Oncology/ Adolescents)
The Clinical Educator coordinate and conducts education for nursing staff, which will enhance quality and safe patient care. Responsible for ensuring nursing staff within the service line units are educated to assess and identify patient care needs for assigned patients. Education is provided based on unit/patient needs and includes but is not limited to service line academies, skill-based competency, equipment use expertise, and/or clinical assessment competency.
Collaborates with Director of Clinical and Life Support Education, Manager of Clinical and Life Support Education, Directors of Nursing, and Nurse managers to provide learning sessions to enhance staff knowledge and competency in the management of cost effective/clinically effective complex patient and family centered care.
Education / Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN required, three years clinical experience in area of interest required.

Service Line Nurse Manager and Manager of Clinical and Life Support Education, works collaboratively with Nursing Practice Development Specialist Licensure, Certification and / or Registration:
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in applicable state. BCLS required. National certification in specialty preferred, encouraged to obtain within one year of hire.
9 PHO is a 16-bed specialty unit that provides comprehensive, family-centered care to children and adolescents with hematologic, oncologic, and complex medical needs. 9 PA is a fast-paced, 16-bed acute care unit caring for children ages 12-21 with a wide range of medical conditions requiring short- to moderate-length hospital stays. The culture on 9PA emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and continual learning to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care. The team takes pride in fostering a positive, resilient environment where nurses are empowered to grow in their practice.

- Required: BSN and three years' experience in Oncology and/or Peds
- Required:
CPHON (Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse) - Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of applicable state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
