Metropolitan Community Health Services (MCHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that employs a patient centered approach, providing access to high quality, affordable primary care, dental care, and behavioral health preventive and wellness services to people of all ages regardless of their financial or insurance status or the ability to pay in Beaufort, Martin, and Washington counties.
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dedicated team of caring and experienced professionals. Must be able to work well independently. Our centers are National Health Service Corps approved sites and therefore the candidate may qualify for the NHSC loan repayment program.
Job Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Summary: Provide advanced medical care for patients with psychiatric disorders. Diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in this population. Prescribe medications for patients having psychiatric-mental health problems and those likely to have them. Credentialed as a DATA 2000 waiver provider to treat patients with Substance Use Disorders (i.e., buprenorphine prescriber).
