REGISTERED NURSE - GOLDEN YEARS NURSING HOME
Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Golden Years Nursing Home located in Fayetteville, NC.
Sign On Bonus: $15,000
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina Metropolitan Area
Responsibilities- Assure quality nursing care for patients by following physicians’ orders, state and federal regulations, and this facility’s policies and procedures.
- Administer all medications (oral, s.q., i.m., or i.v.) as ordered by a medical doctor and according to facility policies.
- Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
- Assist physicians during rounds as needed.
- Drape patients and remain with them during MD rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as necessary.
- Perform scheduled treatments during shifts, document appropriately, and maintain infection control measures.
- Adhere to all regulations pertaining to cleanliness, infection control, and standard/universal precautions.
- Assist with research related to the quality of nursing care as assigned.
- Assist with new admissions, orders, and assessment of new admissions unit/hall, and schedule patients’ annual physicals with the attending physician, ensuring timely completion and documentation.
- Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; submit proof of license renewal every other year.
- Provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and demonstrate genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certified yearly.
- Attend in‑service training and other staff meetings as required.
- Ability to supervise nursing assistants, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work cooperatively with all nursing personnel, other departments, and patients’ families, applying patience and tact.
- Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems, understanding that errors may have serious consequences for patients.
