Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room at Haywood Regional Medical Center – Clyde, NC.

Schedule:

8-hour and 10-hour shifts, call required. There is a $15,000 sign-on bonus for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment.

The operating room handles an average of 400 cases per month and includes ENT, Cataract and Retinal Eye surgeries, Gynecologic, Laparoscopic and Endoscopic, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Plastic and Reconstructive, and Gastroenterological surgeries. Most cases are general and orthopedic. Surgical operations are conducted Monday through Friday with additional night, weekend, and holiday call rotations for continuous coverage.

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
