Overview
Description Clinical expert in evidence based nursing practice. Functions both autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers to manage and support the care of acute and/or critically ill patients, while promoting nursing practice by serving as a clinical resource. Plans, designs, implements and evaluates both patient specific and population based programs of care. Accountable to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff to improve clinical practice and strengthen the systems that support quality patient care.
Provides leadership in advancing the practice of nursing to achieve quality and cost effective patient outcomes. Leads teams to contribute to the professional development of others and shaping/influencing nursing practice within the organization. Supports Mission, Vision and Values of PMH.

Current licensure by the NC State Board of Nursing as Registered Nurse. Master's Degree in Nursing with clinical or educational focus preferred. BCLS, ACLS and PALS instructor preferred. Demonstrated knowledge as evidenced by portfolio, recommendation letters, references, interview, and demonstration: (a) in leadership, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and change; (b) in utilizing evidence to develop, teach, guide, and implement practice standards and policies.
Available to meet educational needs on all shifts. Computer skills using various applications, such as Internet, e-mail, word processing, Microsoft office, presentations, and databases.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years related clinical experience. Teaching experience preferred.
